Eine Stimme für Hindus in Deutschland!
In Deutschland gibt es etwa 100.000 Hindus aus südostasiatischen Ländern, vor allem Indien, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka und Bali. Was alle Hindus jenseits ihrer Nationalitäten eint, ist ihre Kultur und Religion: Das Sanatan Dharma, nach außen als Hinduismus („die Religion des indischen Subkontinents“) bekannt.
Viele Hindus sind als Flüchtlinge nach Deutschland gekommen, andere aber auch aus wirtschaftlichen Interessen, um zu studieren und um akademische Berufe auszuüben. Trotz der inzwischen beträchtlichen Anzahl hinduistischer Mitbürger und der Ansässigkeit internationaler Organisationen, die hinduistisches Kulturgut pflegen, gibt es noch keine Vertretung des Hinduismus gegenüber den deutschen Behörden oder als Religionsgemeinschaft.
Im Jahre 2006 wurde das Hindu Forum of Europe als ein Zusammenschluss einer Reihe von Hindu-Organisationen in ganz Europa gegründet. Das Forum verleiht europäischen Hindus eine Stimme, indem es zeigt, wie die europäischen Werte der Menschenwürde gerade im hinduistischen Ethos vertreten sind, welches auf der Achtung aller Traditionen, Kulturen, Religionen und Überzeugungen beruht.
Gegenwärtig sind folgende Organisationen Mitglied des HFE:

• Großbritannien: Hindu Forum of Britain, NCHT – National Council of Hindu Temples – UK
• Italien: Confederazione Italiana per Concienza de Krishna, Unione Induista Italiana
• Luxemburg: Hindu Forum Luxemburg
• Niederlande: Hindu Council of Holland
• Portugal: Portuguese Yoga Confederation
• Schweden: Hindu-Forum of Sweden
• Schweiz: Schweizerischer Dachverband für Hinduismus SDH
• Spanien: Federacion Hindu de Espana
• Ungarn: ISKCON Hungary (HSKCON)
Unter anderem richtet das Hindu Forum of Europe jährlich Divali-Feste im europäischen Parlament aus, zu denen bedeutende EU-Politiker eingeladen werden. Es vertritt kontinuierlich hinduistische Organisationen in religiösen Netzwerken und unter Glaubensführern.
Unser HFG-Team bietet Hindu-Tempeln und Gemeinden in Deutschland Organisation und Kommunikation an, um einen nationalen Dachverband deutscher Hindus zu gründen, der sich nach seiner Gründung dem Hindu Forum of Europe anschließen soll. Wir freuen uns auf eure Mitarbeit!

A voice for Hindus in Germany!
In Germany there are around 100,000 Hindus from Southeast Asian countries, mainly India, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka and Bali. What unites all Hindus beyond their nationalities is their culture and religion: Sanatan Dharma, externally known as Hinduism ("the religion of the Indian subcontinent").
Many Hindus came to Germany as refugees, but others also came out of economic interests, in order to study and to pursue academic professions. Despite the meanwhile considerable number of Hindu fellow citizens and the presence of international organizations that maintain Hindu culture, there is still no representation of Hinduism vis-à-vis the German authorities or as a religious community.
In 2006 the Hindu Forum of Europe was founded as an amalgamation of a number of Hindu organizations across Europe. The forum gives European Hindus a voice by showing how the European values of human dignity are represented in the Hindu ethos, which is based on respect for all traditions, cultures, religions and beliefs.

Among other things, the Hindu Forum of Europe organizes annual Divali festivals in the European Parliament, to which important EU politicians are invited. It continuously represents Hindu organizations in religious networks and among religious leaders.
Our HFG team offers organization and communication to Hindu temples and congregations in Germany in order to found a national umbrella organization of German Hindus, which will join the Hindu Forum of Europe after its foundation. We look forward to your cooperation!
